R. L. Russ & Associates, Inc. has always been a supporter of charitable activities as a form of thanks for all of the
good fortune we've experienced over the years. In that light; R. L. Russ & Associates, Inc. supports heavily several the
local animal shelters as our primary activity. This activity involves the display of (mostly) American classic vehicles (cars,
trucks, tractors, cycles) in the form of free shows to the public. Since 1995, with the assistance of many car enthusiasts,
Animal Shelter Car Shows, Inc. has provided up to 10 shows a year with all proceeds benefiting one or more animal support
causes. We are fortunate and thankful for the 100+ local and national sponsors that support our efforts. If you would like
to be a part of this benefit to the animals; then please contact us for more information. All proceeds go to an animal support/rescue
organization.
We have always believed that the success we've enjoyed over the years should be returned in some form to those less fortunate.
In that light, R. L. Russ & Associates, Inc. supports many charitable efforts and local causes. While we can't support
every need, we do try to support several with a particular emphasis on one common local need.
I hope that each of you visiting our site will get involved in an effort to help with a need. It's wonderful to be fortunate
enough to support the needs of others.
Animal Shelters and Rescue Centers:
These are our primary charitable activities. With small communities, the funds allocated for the dogs and cats are pretty
slim. In 1995, there was a request in the local paper (published twice a week) for help by an area shelter for blankets, food,
bleach, towels, etc. Basically, there were plenty of animals, but not much to take care of them.
From that time, R. L. Russ & Associates, Inc. has committed the majority of our charitable efforts to local shelters
in the form of organizing 'Classic Car Shows' for the community. Local businesses contribute whatever is needed to put on
the show (ie. trophies, advertising, printing, banking, etc.); other firms both locally and nationally contribute raffle and
other prizes; a host firm pays a fee; and each car entrant pays a fee to compete for the trophies and prizes. The shows are
free to the public.
All proceeds from the fees, raffle, and auction are donated to the local support/rescue organization. If you'd like to
get involved with our efforts; then please send me a note.
If you'd like more information on how to set this up in your community, then also please let me know. Similar activities
have been established in Illinois and California.
